PJO Fever

So I've been obsessed with Percy Jackson this week. It's weird. I wasn't really before. Then I found some amazing fanart, and I just... realized how cool it was.

I guess I'll start with a list of favorites.

FAVORITE BOOK IN THE SERIES SO FAR:

Well, in the PJO series... either the first one... or the last two. Which? Um... Hard question. I don't feel as strongly about that series. Um, maybe Battle of the Labyrinth. That was pretty cool.

In the Heroes of Olympus... The Lost Hero. It was the most... satisfying of the books, for me. It had a lovely familiar texture. I'm looking forwards to House of Hades though, because the tension is building so much! Very exciting.

FAVORITE CHARACTER:

NICOOOOOOOO!!! Nico is by FAR my favorite character in the series. He has lots of emotional depth. I love him. He's so cool. And like that part in the Battle of the Labyrinth? Where he banished Minos and called himself the Ghost King and then stabbed the sword into the ground... EPIC NICO YOU ARE AMAZING.

FAVORITE FAN-ARTIST:

Viria on tumblr - she is AMAZING. She draws all the characters like I picture them! I will upload a gallery of my favorite artworks later, but there's SO MUCH great stuff and I'm too lazy to compile it right now. I will show you my favorite drawings of Nico... (which pretty much means all of them).

I guess singing is just the thing to do now...

So guess who else sings, now?

Sasha Pieterse! That's right, the 16-year old star of Pretty Little Liars is not only a stellar actress and brilliantly hot, but she is now a singer - and she can sang! 

Sasha's voice is really tough and awesome in the country rock single called "This Country is Bad Ass". It's about how cool the opportunity is in this country for hard-workers. Sasha is an immigrant from Johannesburg. She thinks America is cool. It's sort of a patriotic song.

I really like it, but there are currently three songs that I want to buy on iTunes:

- "This Country" (I'm just going to call it that :P)

- "Blonde Bombshell" which is a song I discovered. It's pretty punk-y and is very satisfying to listen too. I bet it would have a great place in my Alanna playlist.

- "Expectation" by Girls Day. I don't feel as strongly about this one, but it's been tickling the edge of my brain for a while - the chorus is really catchy.

I really want the first two, but I'm nervous because of Selena Gomez's upcoming album. I'm so irritated, because I don't even know when the album is coming out, let along how many songs there are.

It just bugs me to no end. I only have $20 left in my account. Ugh, how did that happen? I just don't want to have to pick and choose over the SG album. I love buying all the songs and then putting them on shuffle. That was one of my first experiences with Selena Gomez, my iPod, and pop in general. BLEARGH.

I'm going to hold my patience for now... I hope. *FRUSTRATION* One solution is to sneak out with the cash that I now have and buy a small iTunes gift card. But is that worth it? Sigh. Sigh sigh sigh. I just know that I CAN'T UNDO IT IF I BUY THEM AND I MIGHT REGRET IT FOREVER.

$2.28 for the both of them. MASSIVE SIGH.

Do it? Don't do it? Anyways, that's not the point. The point is - Sasha Pieterse as music. There. Done.

T-araN4

It's Friday the twelfth... and that means we know more about T-ara's subunit!


The subunit is named T-araN4, which apparently stands for "T-ara Brand New Four." I'm not thrilled with this title. As with Sistar19, subgroup names that just stick random numbers or letters onto the end of their name as a full group just aren't that interesting. Not that TaeTiSeo was that creative... but I was hoping for some cool title! Like Orange Caramel gets their own cool name.

Anyways, the name doesn't really matter. What matters are the girls and the music!

Speaking of girls, this information was released along with Hyomin's teaser picture! It's not what I was expecting from Jiyeon's - Hyomin is dressed much more simply (if exotically stylish) and has wet-yet-epic hair. It makes me wonder if the others will look just as unique in their promotion posters.

I like this picture more than Jiyeon's. Even though Jiyeon looked stunning and the background was a lot sleeker and less cluttered, Hyomin is wearing a Hyomin expression, while Jiyeon was wearing a not-quite-Jiyeon face. They both look gorgeous!

You can see on the poster that it says "Would you mind waiting a bit longer?" and then crosses out the current date, replacing it with 4.15 - April 15th. That is when the next teaser poster will be released. Will it be Eunjung or Areum? Who knows? Whichever, I can't wait!

Also, according to t-araworld.net, the next poster will be accompanied by a music teaser for the song. I like how each one comes with new information and a date for the next release - like a treasure hunt. I'm predicting that the final poster will come with an actual music video teaser. It seems as if these are being released every three days, so far, but that would suck if after getting the mv teaser (On April 18th, if this pattern continues) we would have to wait more than a week before getting the full thing.

Looking forwards to their comeback on the first of May!

T-ara's Sub-unit of Epicness

This has actually been on my brain for a long time, but there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding the topic, so I didn't feel confident talking about it until two days ago. Then I got into my blogger mode and took a stand!

I suppose it will be most effective to get to the meat of the matter first, and then explain the treacherous backstory.

Okay, here it goes.

T-ARA IS MAKING A KOREAN COMEBACK.

OR SHOULD I SAY...

T-ARA'S SUB-UNIT!!!

That's right. Considering that they have been around for four years and had reached the status of third most popular girl group in Korea, it's surprising that they haven't taken this step a long time ago. They might have been preparing it when Hwayoung left the group, heavily denting their popularity.

Anyways, guess who the members are?

AND FREAKING JIYEON.

Y'all know me, cuz y'all ARE me, so you understand that this is like a dream come true. It can't go wrong! They'll each get so much more screen time and lines too... so happy.

The name of the group will be revealed tomorrow (Friday the twelfth) and the single - "Country Life" will be released May 1st. The concept seems to be similar to their Breaking Heart look. I hope the name is something jewelry related. Like "Diamond" or "Ring" or something. Because that would match with T-ara/tiara!

Luckily for us, we have been gifted with Jiyeon's amazing teaser picture... I don't know when she had time to do that to her hair, but it looks epic. It kind of reminds me of the weird hair changes that occurred with SNSD's "I Got a Boy" comeback, but this is kind of cooler, if I'm aloud to say that...

I have mixed feelings about this teaser picture. It's obvious that Jiyeon will look stunning in this concept, and I'm eager to see how it suits the other members... but at the same time, this isn't the most Jiyeon-ish picture possible. I know that that happens all the time with kpop pictures, but her expression is just... a non-familiar expression on Jiyeon's face. I can't wait to see her in the music video too.

Okay, so what happened with this story? Well, maybe two weeks ago, Allkpop reported CCM announcing this sub-unit and I was soooo happy. Then t-araworld.com had an article, and all the other sites fallowed some time after... but, the very next day, there were some comments on the allkpop article that said "No, this is fake, the company denied it, they were hacked..." or something like that. 

I didn't really believe them but when I went to check t-araworld.com, the article had been TAKEN DOWN, probably just due to uncertainty. I was so confused and it made my heart break because it WOULD have been the best sub-unit ever.

Then allkpop released another article saying that there were more details about the concept... it was just fuzzy. 

Luckily, everything has been cleared up. The company reassured the fans, t-araworld.com posted another article and everything is good now.

The one icky-ish feeling I have is that the comments that the company made about the comeback were a little... over-confident. They made aspirations to dance anthems like YMCA and Gangnam Style, which frankly I just think is a BAD IDEA. I'm sure the comeback will be amazing and catchy and sexy and will blow everyone out of the water, but comparing it to Gangnam Style... I just doubt it will work. Nothing can match Gangnam Style, and T-ara might receive hate for not living up to the hinted glory.

Sigh. So excited!

Come and Get It

I like this picture more than the screaming one...

So I told you that Selena Gomez was releasing an album entitled "Come and Get It". Well... that sort of happened. The song was released on album, as well as the full audio online. Buuuut... there is no available music video or full album, and as far as I can tell, there is no upcoming release date.

I don't really know what's going on... but I hope the album comes out soon! Apparently she recorded like 23 songs and put 16 of them on the album... but why isn't there a date? Does no one know? I'm so confused!

This song was EPIC. It wasn't what I had expected from the teasers. The tribal synth element was still there throughout the whole song, but the lyrical component was WAY more pop-esque than I had anticipated. The melody in the teaser turned out not to be the chorus, but the bridge.

I really really really love this song. It's just super catchy and epic and cool. On the minus side, the song didn't showcase growth in Selena's singing talent as much as I'd hoped it would. :( I'm sure there will be more singing-focused tracks on her album though.

NEW THINGS ARE AWESOME

Hi. I skipped like a month on this blog. It sucks. But no lingering in the past - that's what I say!

I'll give you a quick recap on all the stuff that has been going on since February, then a summary of all the things we have to look forwards to!

1) T-ara released Bunny Style and the 9 other singles in all their HEAVENLY GLORY. Unfortunately, music videos for the sub-unit singles, which I had been eagerly anticipating, turned out to not exist. :(

Here's the Bunny Style music video:

They all look lovely in the music video - especially Jiyeon, Areum, and Qri. I like the dance - it's easy enough that I could learn it :) I really liked how the lines were evenly distributed between members.

Besides Bunny Style, my favorite of the Japanese singles are Qri's, Hyomin's, Jiyeon's, and the sub-unit EunJiMin's.


2. T-ara has been promoting Bunny Style and their past Japanese releases in Japan, and the journey was documented online in video diaries, available with english subs. They will also be airing a Japanese reality show called "Princess T-ara".


3. SNSD has been going on their 2nd Japanese Arena tour, featuring their most recent album, Girls & Peace.


4. The third season of PLL ended. The fourth season is set to come back in June.


5. Dasom starred in yet another hilarious music video by K.Will. K.Will was actually in the music video this time - briefly. Dasom was gorgeous!

4. Lee Hi released two singles: Rose and Over.

That's not all that happened, but those are the main things. Then, we have UPCOMING things! These are what's on my mind right now.

1. Many sights have published articles about this, but t-araworld.net seems unsure, so I have my doubts. APPARENTLY... T-ara will be making a Korean comeback with a sub-unit containing my favorite members - Jiyeon, Hyomin, Eunjung, and Areum. Allkpop reported this first, then T-ara World, then all the other places. The thing is - t-araworld.net TOOK DOWN their article. Are they just waiting for more certain confirmation? I don't know.
Then Allkpop released a second article... so I just have to wait and see!


2. Sistar is supposed to release a second album by June. Yay! I was hoping it would be out in May though, so that I could order it with my end-of-school order. Sigh.


3. Soyu has done a feat. on yet another song! The full song isn't out yet, but her voice is AMAZING in the teaser. I can't find it on the youtube search thingy, so I'll show it to you later.


4. SELENA GOMEZ IS RELEASING ANOTHER FREAKING ALBUM IN FOUR FREAKING DAYS AAAAAH.

It's called "Come and Get It" - that's the lead single. There's a freaking teaser out! I'm SOOO excited. It's so close!

5. SNSD is releasing a not-high-budget music video for a B-side of Girls & Peace called "Beep Beep". They've so far released a teaser and a short pv (basically a minute of the full one). The complete music video is scheduled to be released tomorrow. Hooray!

So pink... maybe Tiffany directed it :P

Pretty Little Liars 3x20 Promo Breakdown

Okay, the promo for the next episode is SUPER EXCITING. I can't wait. We're actually getting close to the end of the season, which is really weird. I don't want it to end. Then I'll have to wait ALL SUMMER for Season 4 to start. At least I'll have bogus-season-four-crappy-community. :(

Anyways, here's my breakdown for the promo:

1-5 seconds: Aria says to Spencer "I know that you don't need a friend right now, but that doesn't mean your friends don't need you."
We've seen this part in a sneak peak, in which Spencer hides in the bathroom to avoid talking to Aria. Aria sees, follows, and the following conversation ensues:

6-7 seconds: Hanna and her Mom get out of their car behind a police car on a dark street at night, horrified/worried looks on their faces. Possibly in reaction to Emily getting hit by a car (seen later in the promo, I think.) 

Police Car: *is a police car

Hanna: Woa, Mom, is that a police car? With ambulances and crap in front of it?

Hanna's Mom: Let's go INVESTIGATE!

*gets out of car

Hanna: OMG, is that -?

Emily: *is in a coma

Hanna: NOOOOOOOOO!!!

Either that or they are acting all worried/horrified because Aria or Spencer or someone called them and was like "HOLY CRAP EMILY BEEN HIT BY CAR." and then Hanna was like "HOLY CRAP MOM WE NEED TO SEE EMILY!"

8 seconds: Emily's peaking through a door in the Halloween costume shop. She might be breaking in to go through all the security camera records since Shana was all like "I can't give out that information." Later in the promo, Emily goes through some sort of files on a computer, which I think might be her breaking into all the security camera files.

8.5 seconds: The four girls look up nervously from a table (at the coffee shop, I think). Narrator guy tells us that some secrets are used to divide. DUM DUM DUMMM.

9 seconds: Goes from a black transition to Spencer closing her eyes and leaning against a brick pillar thing in the school lunch-courtyard place.

10 seconds: Hanna and Emily are in the same courtyard. Emily's like "Why would she lie about knowing him?", probably referring to Cece Drake denying having heard of Wilden on the boat in Cape May. Then Emily found a picture of Wilden, Ali, and Cece on a boat together (the picture was lost in Jason's elevator accident) so Cece was lying.

11 seconds: "A" (Toby/Mona?) chops the flower parts off a bunch of roses with this huge knife. The cutting board is in front of the doll house with the dolls of the four girls. I'm assuming this is for the hoodie scene at the end of the episode, because I don't see how cutting up a bunch of flowers could progress the plot in any way, and it seems like one of those creepy-weird-random things that Hoodie person would do.

12-13 seconds: Little Red Riding Hood in all of her mysterious shadowy blonde-with-red-cloak glory turns away on a shadowy, dark street. Emily turns around (I'm not sure about the context for that) and...

EMILY GETS HIT BY A FREAKING CAR.

I'm pretty sure it's Emily. It looks enough like Emily and enough not like anyone else to convince me. 

There are several possible explanations for why Emily might have been hit (although why Emily was on that street in the first place and who, if anyone, was with her, I have no way of knowing.)

The first one that I thought of was that it was punishment for Spencer ratting out Toby to the other three girls. When Spencer got the threat "Or I'll take down one of your three", I thought it meant "I'll show the police a bunch of pictures of one of them at Ali's dug-up grave that night, but it could also potentially mean "I'll mow over them with a car."

Spencer: Call Hanna and Emily. I know who's helping Mona.

Aria: Okay. *calls friends

Hanna and Emily: Sup

Spencer: Toby is A.

All three girls: WUT NO WAY

Spencer: Boo hoo.

Aria: Oh, poor Spencer.

Spencer: Life sucks.

Girls: Well Spencer, we better go home now.

Spencer: K, buy.

Emily: Tralalalala *walks down street

Toby: I AM INSANE VEHICLE MAN

Emily: :O

*Toby smashes into Emily

Emily: Oh no, I is in coma!

Police guy: HOLY CRAP A COMA PERSON

Ambulances: *blare sirens and show up

Spencer, Aria, and Hanna: Oh look, a text!

Text: Hey guys, looks like there's some real trAffic on such and such street... Mwahahaha! Bitches! ~A

Spencer, Aria, and Hanna: OMG that must mean something bad.

*drive to such and such street

Emily: *is still in coma

Spencer, Aria, and Hanna: HOLY CRAP! EMILY! NOOOO!

Spencer's phone: *ding

Spencer: Ooh, a text. Ominous.

Text: Hope you're proud of yourself, Spencer.

Spencer: NOOOOOOO! MONAAAA! I WILL DEVOUR YOU WHOLE!!!

*wolf howl

*morphs into silver wolf

Aria: *turns into Artemis *turns towards Spencer and mounts

Artemis: RIDE FORTH, MY NOBLE BAT-EATING STEED.

Hanna: HOLY CRAP! ARTEMIS!

Spencer: HAWOOOOOOOO!

*leaps away into the night

Hanna: HOLY CRAP

Emily: BLEH I AM DYING AND CRAP.

The second possibility is that Emily found out something new by herself, that the other three girls didn't know yet. Like when Hanna found out that Mona was A and then got hit by a car. My theory for this is that when Emily broke into the Halloween store and hacked the security cameras and records and stuff, she figured out a new A and then A was like CRAP and Mona or Toby or someone else hit her with a car to stop her from telling people.

The third possibility is that Emily was about to tell authorities something that the girls already knew. This probably wouldn't even be related to A. It might be about Wilden getting Ali pregnant, or Cece being on the boat and possibly with Ali the night she died or something else like that. Then Wilden (or Cece) would be like CRAP and hit her with the car.

The fourth possibility is that Emily would see Blonde Red Cloak person and have a flashback to reveal everything that happened to her the night Ali's grave was dug up. Then Blonde Red Cloak person ordered her to be killed! The thing is, I don't know how A would find out that she'd had the flashback. She wouldn't just be like "OMG! I JUST HAD A FLASHBACK ABOUT THE NIGHT ALI'S GRAVE WAS DUG UP AND I REMEMBER EVERYTHING NOW!!!"

14-15 seconds: "Some secrets are used to hurt!" says narrator dude. Spencer is being gassed in her shower. Or something. I don't really understand what is going on here. How do you gas someone in the shower? Especially just at your house? It looks like there's more than a shower going on. The whole shower chamber is filled with thick steam stuff. Maybe the water suddenly shot out boiling hot and burned Spencer? She screams and pounds at the door, collapsing.

There's a shot of steam stuff spurting out of this jet thing between knobs, so I guess something is happening... I just don't understand how it's possible.

The other, lame explanation for this, which seems pretty unlikely, is as follows:

Spencer: Sigh... Here I am, taking a shower and thinking about how Toby never loved me and life sucks and stuff.

*showers

Spencer: Hmm, I guess I should get out of the shower now... even though life sucks. Sigh.

*pulls handle

*handle is a little stuck.

Spencer: GAAAH LIFE HATES ME WHY IS LIFE SO HORRIBLE AAAAAH!!!!

*collapses

Anyways, I'm looking forwards to that scene. Seems dramatic!

16 seconds: Aria is in Ezra's apartment. With Ezra, because we know that he's back now.

16.5-17 seconds: Emily is sneaking into the costume shop's computer records, whether or not that was the time we see her coming through the door earlier in the promo. If you pause it, you can see that the screen has a list of stock, and then next to it are these buttons that read:

- Transactions

- Storage

- Stock Items 

- Sale Items

- Returns

- Customers

- Shipping

- Online

Really makes it seem likely that she finds something on A that's being hit-by-car worthy. Would A hit her if she just found out that heart-costume was Toby? I mean, Spencer already knew that, and they didn't hit her with the car. So if this is the reason, it's something besides Toby, which means that the heart costume person was somebody besides Toby and Mona. I really thought it was Toby in the hearts costume though, so maybe this isn't the cause.

17.5 seconds: Glimpse of Hanna at her computer with headphones, listening to music or something. Then there are the four girls standing somewhere all looking at someone. I don't know where they are exactly - maybe Aria's house? Or a coffee shop? Oh it is the coffee shop, because that clip must be from this scene, revealed in a teaser. Wilden comes into the coffee shop and Emily's like "We're closed" and he's like "You're here" and she's like "I have the keys." Here:

18 seconds: Spencer looks depressed. Aria bursts through a doorway, possibly to Spencer's bedroom (looks like it, I think), possibly to save Spencer from the Death Shower.

NOW, SOME SECRETS ARE BEING USED TO FIGHT BACK

19 seconds: Spencer, clammy and wet (possibly a result of Death Shower) is facing away from Aria in her kitchen.

Spencer: Can you call Hanna and Emily?
Aria: *looks shocked

Spencer: *turns around* I know who's been helping Mona.

DUN DUN DUUUUUUN

I am so glad that Spencer is telling the others now. It's about time.

Then it goes to the title thing and it's all "PRETTY LITTLE LIARS" and stuff.

So. Looking forwards to that. Here are the other teaser promo things:

New People in My Life

i.aM.me is this dance crew that won a big America's Best Dance thing and they are awesome and cool and awesome.

I have a crush on the youngest member, Chachi Gonzales, who is 17 and pretty and talented and awesome.

Appearance-wise, she reminds me a bit of Emma Watson.

Marina and the Diamonds is the stage name of a Welsh singer named Marina. Marina is a really good singer, kind of like a cross between Katy Perry and Lana Del Rey. And Whales. Emma and I had a freak out about her on skype together, which felt nice. I think Emma has a crush on her. I might, too. Not as much as Emma, though. At least I think.

My favorite song by her is "Primadonna" which I think would make a great theme song for Ali from PLL. There are lots of other great songs, like "Bubblegum Bitch", which, other than using the word bitch, is a really awesome song that happens to fit Mona.

Also, I'm getting really excited about the Host movie that's coming out. It seems really well produced. I wonder if I'll be able to see it some time - certainly not with my parents. Hmm. Clarissa is rereading it with her mom now, maybe if they go they would be willing to take me.

Anyways, I found out that the lead actress playing Melanie/Wanda is actually only 18, and I think she's super awesome. She does all of her own stunts and things. There's this one scene in the trailer where she smashes through a window and falls down this huge building and crushes into the ground. Then there was this behind the scenes stuff and she ACTUALLY DID THAT. Like, with a trampoline mattress thing. But she just flew out of the freaking window and fell like 40 feet. No harness or anything.

WOW. From what I've seen, she's also a really good actress, so props to her!


I know I haven't posted in forever. I've been really busy, and it's hard to get back on track when so much stuff piles up. Here's a list of things that I'll try to recap:

IT HAS A COVER!

OMG IT'S GORGEOUS.

Hyorin looks so pretty! Oh, I love album covers that just go ahead and PUT the faces of their members right across the cover, because Sistar19 deserves it!

It sort of reminds me of their Shady Girl album design, with the pink and white color scheme (with touches of blue) and the large scrabbly title.

This album comes with two new songs, plus and instrumental. Here's the tracklist:

So there. I'm not sure what this is. Does it count as a mini-album? Really I would just call it a single, with beefed up packaging... I dunno.

Gone, Not Around Any Longer

Okay, I was wrong about the title being "Here Then Gone". Allkpop told me that that was the title track, so either Allkpop is just dumb and misinformed, or it really IS a mini-album.

A video teaser went up yesterday. It looks so awesome. No sign of the green set from that picture, but I'm sure it will turn up.

They are so awesome. Yay.

So that's that.

The sets look really awesome. I love the big room with stage lights and the ghost piano.

It's also cool when they're doing the dance on that glass block, so that it looks like they're floating. I guess it's continuing the tradition of Ma Boy, where they started out the choreography in chairs.

Unfortunately, the tune I've been exposed to in the trailer took a long time to stick in my brain. The electronic-y beat was kind of distinctive, but in a way that a lot of songs can have. Hyorin's voice is beautiful and stuck in my head, but there was no instant click with a new song, as there was with I Got a Boy.

I know that Sistar19 won't let me down!

Allkpop is Fucking Stupid

Allkpop made a list of 10 predictions for 2013 in the kpop world.

One was that T-ara would break up.

WHAT.

NO.

NEVER.


Despite loosing so much popularity due to stupid media, T-ara's still got a wonderful position among top Kpop Groups, particularly abroad in countries like Japan and Malasia that aren't so freaking gullible. They've fought so hard to try their best to please their fans and continue to release fantastic songs such as Sexy Love. Hwayoung's been showing support for them, while working on her acting career. They've been trying so hard.

To think that they'll give up NOW, after they've all they've been through to work past the bad press and regain their status as AMAZING PEOPLE, there is no way that they can call it quits. They've endured to much to survive already. The hardest part of their journey has passed - now they can finally move forwards!

And like, the things people say are RIDICULOUS. Most of the fans seem to be causing a positive turn in the negative tides, but for example, on this article about Hyosung saving Jieun in Secret's car crash, there were all these comments like "T-ara, are you paying attention to this?" and shit and I was like "HOW CAN YOU FUCKING SAY THAT???" T-ara still has a tight bond, especially Hyomin, Jiyeon, and Eunjung. They loved Hwayoung too, and what CCM did is NOT THEIR FAULT.

It just drives me fucking CRAZY.

So there. End of rant. Sorry for dirtying this blog with crude language. Hmph. I'll stop if allkpop stops supporting vile internet cruelty.

Sistar19's Comeback

So excited. There Ma Boy comeback of 2011 was just a single, but will this be a mini-album? Anticipating it so much! I hope that there will be a whole group version of one of their songs - like the Ma Boy on their So Cool album.

I'm really looking forwards to it, but I'll miss Soyu and Dasom :(. They should have a subgroup too! Soyu's vocals are so much stronger now. She's really improved.

Anyways, there are teaser pictures.

They look awesome. The comeback is scheduled for January 21st - only seven days from now! It's a good thing I'm finally getting my January blogging act together.

Unfortunately, these teaser pictures really don't tell us anything. If only we could trust them, but the video teaser for Ma Boy was like the BIGGEST mislead ever!

                                    

Oh yeah! That's that part from Ma Boy where they sat in bath tubs looking sultry! On surveillance cams! Being sad! Because that happened.... um...

So yeah. Prophet Blog often references that. I hope this video teaser will ACTUALLY tell me about the song, because I really want to know as much as I can as soon as I can.  I don't even know the name of the upcoming song! At least a teaser would tell me that much for certain.

Pretty Little Liars Updates

Previously on pretty little liars (episodes 14 and 15):

- Mona is acting innocent.

- Toby is acting creepy.

- Aria's Dad is possibly evil.

- The girls find Ali's diary and discover that Ali was blackmailing Byron for money - they were supposed to meet the night she died.

- The clerk from Lost Woods Resort shows up as a custodian at Rosewood High. They find the diary in his office.

- There's a brain and a knife in Mona's locker. Mona struggles to maintain control.

- Mona sends out a video pleading for understanding.

- Aria still won't tell Ezra about his kid.

- Mona and Meredith are in a storage shed at a fundraiser race when the shed combusts into flames. Meredith's arm is rather badly burned, but Mona is fine.

- Mona and Toby are conspiring.

- Toby tries to hit Lucas with a truck.

- Paige has issues with fright.

- Aria's Dad is acting creepy.

- Mona and Jason are hanging out.

- Jason was the one Aria stabbed with the screw driver?! Mona bandages his wound.

- Mona beat Spencer to be president of some academic club by tricking her into overconfidence.

- Hanna gives Mona the SMACK DOWN!!!

- Lucas was the one who set the fire in the shed, not Mona. Mona has been blackmailing Lucas. He leaves school. He thinks she tried to hit him with the truck, not Toby.

- Toby slits the tires on Paige and Emily's car. Emily gives chase through the woods, but gives up.

- Meredith reveals to Aria that she knew that Byron had left to "beat" Alison. She has been fighting with Byron because he won't tell Aria the truth. They agree to confront him with the diary pages.


Yesterday's episode:

- Mona and Toby have a PLAN.

- Aria has a fever. Meredith is nursing her back to health and being sympathetic.

- Hanna is preparing for a job interview doing some fashion-y thing.

- Paige has agreed to see someone about her fears.

- Hanna catches Caleb talking on the phone to someone about her and Mona. She persuades Emily to follow him after school.

- Meredith has stollen Aria's phone and is lying to Ella about her health.

- Spencer and Spencer's mom tell Toby that they are going to be at some celebratory thing for Spencer's dad, when really they are planning to set up a special anniversary dinner in Toby's apartment.

- Emily gets the keys from Toby and calls Spencer so that she can come over and bake an anniversary lasagna.

- Hanna shows up at the interview place.  No one is there.  A shows up in a hoodie. Hanna freaks out. A knocks over a bunch of mannikins on her and runs out, leaving behind a key with the tag "A" on it.

- Emily follows Caleb to a cafe. He sits at a table, waiting for someone. Before Emily can see who, Hanna texts her about A and wants her to come.

- As Emily walks away, we see that he was about to meet with Paige. Paige says that she keeps wondering when the next bad thing will happen, but she realized that she's not afraid for her, she's afraid for Emily. She thinks Emily is too numb to the danger. Caleb shares her concern - they want to take A down.

- Toby shows up at Spencer's house to give her anniversary flowers. He sees the A key, and Spencer lies that it's a key to a storage unit at Melissa's work. She puts it in a drawer. Toby leaves.

- Aria dreams(?) that Ali comes to visit her and takes the Ali doll out of the closet and puts it on a stool. Ali confesses to blackmailing Byron. She tells Aria she can see A everywhere she turns. Before leaving, she warns for Aria not to drink the tea Meredith is giving her.

- Aria wakes up. She sees the doll still on the stool. She goes to open the door, but it is locked. She is trapped.

- After trying unsuccessfully to pick the lock to her door, Aria smashes a mirror and takes a jagged piece of glass in a cloth as a knife. She goes back in her bed, clutching the weapon.

- Emily and Hanna walk around and notice Meredith fighting with a clerk in a pharmacy. Meredith wants to by sleeping pills, but she has already fulfilled her prescription for that week. Meredith settles for 10 packs of sleeping drops.

- Concerned, Emily and Hanna decide to check on Aria.

- Aria wakes up to see Meredith standing over her holding Aria's mirror-knife. Meredith acts crazy. Aria runs downstairs and tries to call the police, but the signal is lost in the storm. Meredith comes up behind her and knocks her out.

- Emily and Hanna knock and knock. Eventually they use their copy of Aria's key to go inside. They call and go in her room, but she isn't there.

- Hanna decides to call her. They jump when the phone rings behind them, and they find Meredith, who acts creepy. Meredith leads the girls to the basement where Aria is supposedly "looking for flashlights." The door is locked behind them.

- They find Aria unconscious at the bottom of the stairs. They try to shake her awake.

- Toby-as-A breaks into Spencer's house and tries to look for the A-key. Spencer confronts him, having figured out that he was evil when she saw his fake license as a doctor at the Radley Hospital where Mona had been kept.

- Spencer slaps Toby. Her mom calls, distracting her, and Toby runs away. Spencer cries.

- Hanna, Emily, and Aria are in Aria's basement. Aria's dad pulls up in the driveway, earlier than he was supposed to be home. Was he in on it, or had Meredith just called him?

- Meredith tells Byron that Aria and her friends have proof of the blackmail. Byron knocks on the basement door. Hanna and Emily pick up pokers as potential weapons.

- Byron comes down and tells them not to be afraid. He said he didn't bring the money to Alison. As he left, he saw Melissa on the back porch of Spencer's house, yelling into her phone.

- Aria and Byron talk. Meredith has disappeared. Byron wants to talk to the police about the blackmail thing. Aria decides that she believes her dad, and burns the diary pages.

- Spencer knocks on Toby's apartment door, crying and begging.

- Inside, Mona-in-a-hoodie eats the anniversary dinner Spencer had so lovingly prepared for Toby.

I haven't forgotten about Pretty Little Liars and all that, but OMG you guys, you need to know something!

Grandma Marcene's card came through today... and it was not books, as I had expected! Grandma Marcene generally gives books (good books! thumbs up!) for Chanukah and birthdays, but today, as following the path of my bat mitzvah, I received...

A $500 dollar check!!!

Of course it is going into college savings, but I got permission to detract $25 of that as birthday spending money! I actually wanted to ask for $50, but since the other check I received was $25, I felt it would be uncool to ask for more than that.

But that's a TOTAL of $50! And mom says I can spend it on albums! OMG, I am spazzing SO MUCH right now. On kpopmart, that'll be four or five albums!

Speaking of which, Clarissa's present still hasn't arrived from Amazon. Signs say that it might be a kpop album, which makes me excited, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Not hoping became super easy when I realized that she might have accidentally gotten me the cheaper regular CD type package. The kind you'd never see in kpop stores, but are an option for people who are too cheap to buy the full awesomeness. I'm guessing that it's the So Cool album, but if it's the thin CD case, I can't even justify buying the awesome version! :(

I feel sort of grungy caring that much about this, but it's seriously worrying me. :(

To distract myself, I shall look for other albums I want on kpop mart!



P.S. OMG PHEW! I checked on Amazon, and it only had the regular cool album for So Cool! Back to not getting my hopes up :)

Girl's Generation: I Got a Boy

First off, let me just start by saying that this single made me SO HAPPY. Like UNBELIEVABLY happy. Surprisingly, not all fans felt as immediately attracted to the amazingness of this song and music video as I did, but I'll talk about that later.

Okay, so Tuesday we woke up really early and I was having breakfast and stuff. I had kept checking last night because I was hoping that the I Got a Boy music video would leak across the time zones like T-ara's Sexy Love had, but to no avail (although I did stay up later the night before Sexy Love).

In the morning, I had completely forgotten, and I was just sitting there slurping cereal when Mom asked dad if he had remembered to turn off his computer and I was like OH!

BRAINFLASH!

So I wolfed down my cereal and ran into the den and leaped onto the desktop and went straight to my account - to safari, to allkpop...


And there it was. Right at the top of the page. A big banner headline.

GLORY!!!

I clicked on it and there was a music video and I was like "HOLY FREAKING CRAP!" and I hit play and it was loading and I was like PHYSICALLY SHAKING. I had been looking forwards to this for so long! Except then everyone was yelling to hurry and I couldn't even comprehend the amazingness and then half way through I was like "Wait. Stop. Getting this on my iPod for the trip should be a higher priority right now.

So I tried to minimize the window, but accidentally x-ed out. Crap. No time to care though, on to iTunes. I got there and the album was up and I bought I Got a Boy and two other songs on impulse - Talk Talk and XYZ. Then I connected the ipod and I was hurrying and it was loading and I tried to go back to the place where Tiffany had been singing, but no luck.

I didn't get to finish the video.

Only half way through! Of course I was salivating over it, because OH MY GOD FREAKING TAEYEON RAPPING DANCING AAAH TIFFANY AAAAH YOU ARE SO EPIC TIFFANY SOOYUNG YOU WERE RAPPING ON YURI'S SHOULDER AND YURI YOU LOOKED SO FREAKING COOL AND YOU WERE RAPPING TOO AND YOU HAD SUNGLASSES AAAAAH AND SEOHYUN YOUR HAIR IS SO CUTE AND YOU ARE COOL AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!

So we're in the car.

And I'm listening to it. And it's amazing. But it's also torture, because I know who sings at the beginning, which I saw... but then I don't. And I can't know. And it's horrible.

In the car, listening to it, I try to assign some sort of verse-intro-prechorus-chorus-bridge type structure, trying to label each part.

But I couldn't. I thought that maybe the more I listened to it I would be able to try, but nope. And I LOVE that about this song. It's so creative and original and unpredictable, but all the parts fit. It's so bright and colorful and amazing and all the girls sound great.

I just can't get over the part where Tiffany's all "Hahaha... an' lemme introduce myself!" all hip and gangsta and rocking-kick-butt AMAZING.

It was hard to adjust to the beginning, where instead of going into the electro-zoomy-dance break part, Sooyung did more rapping stuff. I kept hearing the version from the teaser, and it was driving me nuts. Luckily, I've adjusted now.

The other songs were also really cool. Talk Talk especially, but I also really like XYZ. I can't really tell who's going "hey! hey!" in the chorus, but I'm pretty sure it's Fany.

Anyways, because there wasn't any wireless in the jungle, I couldn't see the video until FREAKING THURSDAY. It was horrible.

Finally we were in our house and I had the iPad and my earbuds and I was in a little corner and...


Happiest.

My.

Life.

Well, maybe not quite. But it came pretty damn close! OMG THEY ARE SO AMAZING! The solos at the end! With Tiffany and Taeyeon and Jessica and kind of Seohyun! AAAAAAAAH!

I just couldn't stop smiling after watching it! I have a couple comments:

- Wow, Yuri is so amazing and stylish and WOW OMG YURI!

- Yoona is looking especially pretty in this video.

- Sunny's voice ANNOYS me! I'm sorry Sunny. I really admire you as a person, and I know you can be a great singer, but I HATE your squeaky rubbery aegyo style of singing! I don't know who told you to sing like that but it drives me insane! I'm not trying to judge you, but I just... rrrgh. Like in Dancing Queen, you sounded really good! Why couldn't you stay like that, Sunny? Why?

- Okay, the story chunks were nothing more than what we saw in the story teaser! LAME, Mr. Director Guy. LAME. I mean, it would fit well enough into a video, and I know you know that you're tired of people not liking the total lack of story, but seriously. Don't make a whole story TEASER if you're just going to blow off the concept at that.

- AAAAAAAH BLOND WIGS!

- AAAAAH AWESOME DANCE!

- TAEYEON YOUR DANCING IS INCREDIBLE!

A lot of people have been commenting that they had to play it over and over to get themselves to like it, but I don't know what's wrong with them. I loved it right from the start.

Maybe I should do a vlog to convey how freaking AMAZING this is to me.

So it is January.

And so much has happened since I last posted that I wasn't able to post that there's this almost overwhelming heap of things that I need to post about.

Which is why I haven't posted in the past three days when I could have.

Although I am sick, so that counts for someone.
